DC Establishes Official ‘Wonder Woman Day’ for June 3rd!

With the ever impending and much-anticipated release of the new Wonder Woman film looming in the not too far distance, DC has announced that the first weekend in June will belong to none other than the Lasso of Truth brandishing Amazonian warrior herself!

With the film being released on the 2nd of June, fans are already getting restless.

The iconic superhero will be honoured throughout (participating) comic book stores, bookstores and most probably the internet alike.

To mark the dayDC are working to release two limited issues to be distributed freely by comrades — a reprint of the first issue in the current Wonder Woman series by Rucka and Liam Sharp, and a DC Super Hero Girls Wonder Woman Day Special Edition.

The WW special edition will apparently feature an extract from the forthcoming third volume in Fontana and Yancey Labat’s series for young graphic novel enthusiasts.

Additionally, a Wonder Woman Day activity kit will be released digitally for download!

I don’t know about you but this seems like the perfect excuse to binge watch some of the original series staring Lynda Carter, as well as the animated DC movie! (Not that I ever actually need an excuse.)

In Cinemas from June 2nd
