More news from our beloved wonder woman! But this time from the original lady herself!
The actress, who brought the Amazonian superheroine to life on the small screen, will have a recurring role on the sophomore season of the newly moved CW series, supergirl.
Lynda Carter will be taking on a recurring role of president of the United States on the newest season of the CBS-turned-CW drama starring Melissa Benoist. She will first appear in episode three of season two.
Carter’s first appearance will take place in the third episode of season two.
Producers Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg told reporters last season that scoring Carter to play the president in season two was their dream casting for the part.
Carter is best known for playing Diana Prince/Wonder Woman on the ABC-turned-CBS series, which aired for three seasons and nearly 60 episodes in the late 1970s.
For Supergirl, Carter becomes the second high-profile casting as the series is sure to retain viewers for its move to The CW.
The series returns Monday, Oct. 10, at 8 p.m. on The CW.
