Yesterday just the concept of a new YouTube Rewind was enough to make me squeal. But today feels like a whole new ballpark. Released just two hours ago, It left me pondering : Am I ready see 2015 come to an end, or will I be grasping for those last few minutes before midnight, sad to such an incredible year behind me?!
Released today, the latest Rewind video not only pays tribute to the biggest hits, memes and trends of 2015 but also the first ten years of YouTube’s existence.
Shot in over 13 countries, the video features over 150 YouTube creators, including Grace Helbig, Rhett and Link, Bethany Mota, Dan+Phil, Jennamarbles, Miranda Sings, Lilly Singh, Zoella, PewdiePie, Swoozie and Markiplier, among others. Music artists include T-Pain, Omi and “Friday” singer Rebecca Black. Talk show hosts James Corden and John Oliver also make an appearance.
Without spoiling it too much for anyone who hasn’t yet seen it, this year’s video left me surprisingly emotional! It felt like watching a home movie that someone had turned into an epic. so without further adieu here’s ‘Now Watch Me 2015’!
Happy 10th Anniversary Youtube!
It’s been an amazing 10 years! *Wipes away a tear*
